A comprehensive approach to headaches and migraines utilizing a combination of upper cervical and corrective chiropractic techniques — It really doesn’t get more comprehensive than this. If you’re having headaches or migraines stemming from your neck, we’ve got you covered.
From an upper cervical perspective —
Upper cervical chiropractic focuses on the top two bones in your neck, C1 (Atlas) and C2 (Axis), and their relation to the brainstem. When an upper cervical misalignment occurs, it can cause nerve compression at the level of brainstem resulting in neurological dysfunction, interference of cerebrospinal fluid flow, and changes of normal blood flow to the brain. By addressing misalignment in this region, we restore normal function at this level.
However, addressing the upper cervical area alone is rarely enough for long-term resolution of symptoms. This is because fixations in the lower neck cause tension and stress in the upper neck. If you address the upper neck but not the lower neck and upper back area, the root cause of the problem may never be fully addressed.
We utilize the Pierce Results System of Spinal Correction to provide a comprehensive full spine solution. This technique consists of utilizing motion x-rays to determine exactly which bones aren’t moving properly and how. This allows us to adjust you with precision to correct the root cause and achieve long-lasting relief from headaches and migraines.

Here’s an example:
A male patient in his mid 30’s was experiencing two debilitating migraines per week, which would each last 24-72 hours. He had been experiencing these migraines for as long as he could remember, stating it could have been about a decade or longer.
Motion x-rays revealed that this patient had bones that were fixated and not moving properly in his lower neck and upper back. This caused tension of his neck muscles, which then caused compression in the upper cervical area and caused his skull to become fixated. By utilizing our motion x-ray analysis to identify exactly what was causing the issue and address it, we were able to reduce the compression in the upper cervical area and restore proper biomechanics. This patient has now been migraine free for over a year and even traveled to Europe!
